Canadian Ice Service

Noetix Research has developed components and integrated third party software to emable the Canadian Ice Service (CIS) to disseminate their Ice Charts of Canada to the public using CEONet and the Internet.

The results of this project are:

• Internet access to the most comprehensive sea ice chart archive over Canadian waters in the world.
• Development of a complete set of Web server components for Data Query, Access and Delivery.
• Integration with Access and Oracle databases using the FGDC data model for metadata.
• Interoperable query and review between the CGDI and the CIS server.

The access system has been created using Noetix's Data Access and Distribution software, Compusult's Metamanager, and CGDI Earthscape.
