Noetix Profile

Noetix Research has developed a Land Evaluation Area Review (LEAR) software tool which is accessible on the Internet. At present the internet server is located at Agriculture Canada (Agcan) reis.agr.ca/lear

The results of this project are:

• Internet tool to enabling municipalities to modify the LEAR system to reflect the Agricultural situation in its specific area.
• The LEAR tool is broken down into steps enabling the user to modify and view Intemediate LEAR products
• Land Evaluation (LE)
• Area Review (AR)
• Percent Agriculture
• Percent Agriculture in surrounding land
• Threshold LEAR Product
• Development of a complete set of Web server components for Data Query, factor modifications and online product creation.
• Integration with Access database, Map Objects, and MapGuide for ESRI shapefiles modification and web display.

The LEAR system has been created using Noetix's Data Access and Distribution software, Using map Objects and MapGuide.
